
Dr. Dinesh Khanna MD, MSc

Dr. Dinesh Khanna is the Frederick G. L Huetwell Professor of Rheumatology at the University of Michigan Ann Arbor where he leads the university's Scleroderma Program. In this role, he directs a multidisciplinary group of caregivers, scientists, and clinical researchers dedicated to advancing knowledge about scleroderma and related conditions. Dr. Khanna's research interests include clinical trial design in evaluating new treatments for scleroderma. Dr. Khanna is also funded by the NIH to develop new patient reported outcome measures in patients with scleroderma and related diseases and is spearheading initiatives to work with FDA so that those measures can support drug approvals. In addition, he is leading international efforts to develop guidelines for the management of scleroderma and gout. Dr. Khanna is also a trusted advisor to several pharmaceutical companies seeking to understand scleroderma and the issues in drug development in scleroderma. Dr. Khanna has been a critical contributor in the formation of CONQUEST and he is currently its Principal Investigator.
